Giving supports the mission of the church to glorify God by making disciples (Matthew 28:18–20). Your generosity helps advance the gospel through preaching and teaching (1 Timothy 5:17–18), caring for those in need (Acts 4:34–35; James 1:27), supporting missionaries and ministry work (Philippians 4:15–17), and building up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–12).
We give not to fund an institution, but to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us—for His glory and the good of others (2 Corinthians 9:6–8).
We give because we love Christ. Giving is a joyful response to His grace—not a duty, but an act of worship (2 Corinthians 8:9). Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). As we give, we declare that Christ is our greatest treasure, and we trust Him to provide all we need (Proverbs 3:9–10; Philippians 4:19).
God cares more about the heart behind the gift than the amount given. Scripture calls us to give willingly, cheerfully, and sacrificially (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving should not be done under pressure or out of guilt but as a joyful act of worship—overflowing from gratitude for what Christ has done for us.
Jesus praised the widow who gave two small coins because she gave from her heart and with trust (Mark 12:41–44). In the same way, we’re called to give in faith, not to impress others, but to honor God (Matthew 6:1–4).
When we give this way, it reflects a heart aligned with God’s kingdom—not clinging to earthly treasure but laying up eternal reward (Matthew 6:19–21).
